The hugely popular Rota do Petisco is back! Join the Tapas Route for tasty snacks plus a drink for just €3.50 at participating venues. The tapas feature Algarve products and flavours and give a little taste of what each venue offers. Grab some friends and follow the tapas trails across the Algarve.

The brainchild of Portimão based Teia d'Impulsos (a cultural and social association), the Rota do Petisco is now in its 12th edition. Originally only in Portimão, gradually the tapas routes have extended all across the Algarve. It's a highlight of the calendar for many residents and visitors to the region, a relaxed and fun way to try lots of different eateries and different dishes.

Rota do Petisco 2022 -  33 days, 11 municipalities, 220 venues!

  • Buy your Passport.
The Rota Passport costs €1.50 per person and the full value reverts to local social projects. Get your passport stamped at each venue you visit. Collect 12 different stamps and you're in with a chance to win a prize! Prizes include tickets to Zoomarine, boat trips with AlgarExperience and more.
Plus there are added bonuses with the passport such as free admission to selected local museums.
  • Choose your Route
There are Tapas Route across the Algarve and you can visit them all. From Aljezur and Vila do Bispo in the West to Tavira in the East.
And this year there are themed routes too - the World Route, Memories Route and Chefs' Route.
