Support World Oceans Day and help clean up Luz Beach with Lagos Zoo!
World Oceans Day is celebrated around the world on 8th June and, this year, Lagos Zoo will be hosting a massive beach clean up in partnership with Lagos Council.
About 73% of litter on the beautiful Luz Beach is plastic: from cigarette butt filters to bottle caps, food wrappers, grocery bags and polystyrene containers. On the morning of 8th June, you can do your bit for the world's oceans and the planet, by volunteering to help clean up!
Every volunteer who takes part makes a difference - so register now by clicking here.
And be there - Luz Beach car park at 9am, with comfortable shoes and clothing, a sun hat and water. Rubbish bags and gloves will be provided.
For more information hit the MAKE ENQUIRY button above.
This cleaning initiative has been organised by Lagos Zoo, with the support of Lagos City Hall who will provide rubbish bags and gloves.
The organisers are not responsible for any damages or personal accidents during the event.
Lagos Zoo is home to over 140 different species of animals and hundreds of botanical species, the zoo is all about the animals – their well-being, conservation and protection.
