Lumen is a large-scale puppet theatre production involving the local population as well as sporting, recreational and musical institutions.
If you're looking for something different, this show will probably tick the box. About 100 participants illuminate the night through musical narrative and movement.The amazing puppet characters are 5 metres high and are intended to highlight the grandeur of man and his creations that have shaped a heritage to be preserved by the people of today and tomorrow.
You can take part
If you are 12 years old or older (no upper age limit) and you want to take part in the show, you have to sign up for training. Training is free and will take place in Faro between 4th and 14th September, after normal working hours. At the end of the show you will receive a diploma.
This spectacular show has been produced by S.A. Marionetas & Bonecos (Alcobaça / Portugal). Lumen is the largest original creation ever made by S.A.Marionetas - Teatro & Bonecos, to commemorate 20th anniversary.
