ArtCatto presents its Summer Exhibition - Free Forms. An exhibition of works by two of Britain’s leading artists featuring paintings by John Hoyland and sculptures by Jeff Lowe. At the Conrad Algarve in Quinta do Lago.
The public is invited to attend the Free Forms exhibition opening at the Conrad Algarve on 27th July from 19:30h to 21:00h. The ehibition will remain in place until the end of August.
About the artists
John Hoyland (1934-2011) was one of the leading British painters of his generation. Hoyland preferred not to be known as an abstract painter although he emerged at the forefront of the abstract movement in Britain in the early 1960’s and remained an energetic and innovative force within the field, until his death in 2011. Hoyland's work have great energy.
Internationally acclaimed sculptor Jeff Lowe came to prominence in 1974 with his first one man show in London’s Cork Street. Lowe represented Britain at the Paris Biennale and has played a major role in advancing abstract sculpture. This exhibition highlights Lowe's workd wrought with industrial materials.
