Once again, ArtCatto and Conrad Algarve are proud to present the amazing artwork of Cristina Bergoglio.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Cristina had her first exhibition at the Conrad Algarve during Easter 2013 at the precise same time that her great, great uncle Francisco Bergoglio was elected the 266th Pope. He was born in Argentina as was Cristina, who then moved to Madrid where she studied at the prestigious Taller del Prado Academy. On graduating Cristina was asked to return as a lecturer at the Academy.
Cristina trained as an architect but decided to move into contemporary art, freeing her up artistically while allowing her knowledge of drawing and perspective to give her the ability to capture landscapes and cityscapes with the upmost precision. Her unique impressionistic style gives her work a brilliance that few could emulate. Cristina says “The City is always a thing of vitality, of movement and sensuality. What I care about is the movement, the urban dance, and to achieve this I use a brush stroke that is intense, fast and spontaneous. I like capturing the moment in a single brush stroke”. She exhibits internationally and her collectors wait anxiously for her new work which is housed in museums and private collections around the world.
This exhibition runs until Easter.
