The British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (BPCC) will be holding a Business Breakfast in the Algarve this November, to discuss the new General Data Protection Regulation.
“Knock, Knock! Who's There? The New Data Protection Regulation!” will be presented by Marco Saias, PRA – Raposo, Sá Miranda & Associados, Sociedade de Advogados, RL.

The session will allow members ample time to discuss the new Regulation, ask questions, network and engage with the speaker, share their experiences and learn from each other.
FEE: €12.50 for Chamber Members and Hilton’s Club H20 Members and € 17.50 for non-Members.
This cost is for the buffet-style breakfast only and will be paid on the day directly to Hilton Vilamoura.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Marco has a Law Degree from the University of Lisbon Law School (2004) and an Intellectual Property Master Degree from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2007). Currently he is an senior associate lawyer at PRA - Raposo, Sá Miranda & Associados where he develops his practice in the fields of privacy and data protection, IT, cyberlaw and intellectual property, and is a lecturer on the postgraduate course on Protection of Personal Data, Privacy and Cybersecurity in the EU, at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa. He is a regular participant to numerous conferences, seminars and discussions on data protection, privacy, information security and cybersecurity, both as a speaker and attendee. He has authored the article 'Unlawful acquisition of trade secrets by cyber theft: between the Proposed Directive on Trade Secrets and the Directive on Cyber Attacks', published in the Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice (2014). Is a member of the IAPP; Association for the Promotion and Development of the Information Society, where is a Security in the Information Society Group member; and, ISOC - Portugal Chapter.
