Pinocchio, a ballet inspired by the novel 'The Adventures of Pinocchio' by Carlo Collodi, will be performed in the Algarve this December - an excellent pre-Christmas outing for all the family!
Interpreted and performed by Margot de Andrade and CDA - Companhia de Dança do Algarve, the ballet tells the story of Pinocchio. Carved by the carpenter Geppetto, from the trunk of a pine tree, Pinocchio was born as a wooden puppet, but dreamed of becoming a real person. On a starry night, the Blue Fairy gives life to Pinocchio, the start of a fantastic adventure for the puppet, that will test his courage, loyalty and honesty - virtues that he must learn to become a real boy.
