What would life on our planet be like if there were no trees, no forests? 'A Floresta' is an exhibition presenting the main species of tree of the Iberian Peninsula.
The forest is not a set of trees but a complex ecosystem where a large number and variety of living beings live and interact.
The exhibition will show the main species of tree in the Iberian Peninsula, their ecology and connection with humans, through a unique collection. Five exceptional examples of Portuguese trees will be displayed that, for morphological, historical or cultural reasons, are considered unique. The Eucalyptus of Vale de Canas, is one of the trees presented in miniature form. At 72 meters, it is in fact the largest tree in the Iberian peninsula and the largest in Europe.
